After that interview, I think Hall has the management by the balls. If he wants to play, he'll play. |

What's he going to do, demand a trade? That's really worked out well for Drouin and Trouba. The Devils can't even sign him to an extension until July 1st, 2019. Which is great news because now they can tank properly next season for Dahlin, who is just making grown men look silly in the SHL as a 16 year-old. I was wondering whether I could handle another year of losing like this one, and then he goes out and has another highlight real goal.
I finally got around to reading the Hall article yesterday. He didn't say anything I had an issue with. If anything, I like the passion. If anyone had concerns that Hall was just used to losing and didn't take making the playoffs seriously, that should ease their minds.

Yes, I think he will. I'm very concerned Hall will leave at the first opportunity unless we draft some serious talent. Dahlin would be great. So would Svechnikov. |

It's not his fault he was drafted by Arizona. I'll be a fan |

I don't think KK is really playing harder for a contract. I think he puts in a good effort every time he plays.
For all goalies who started 20+ games KK is # 25 in save% and # 35 in GAA. Certainly respectable numbers for a backup on a horrifically bad team.

If we don't draft serious talent we're screwed regardless and if we aren't in a position to at least make the playoffs by the start of the 19-20 season they should trade him anyway. He's a guy who has a good injury history and his best asset is his skating. I'm not sure he'll age very well. |

Things are also a little more complicated this year with the expansion I know Vegas goes into the lottery with the same odds as the team that finished 3rd to last not sure where they pick if they dont win it, 3rd? Does that bump the team that would have picked 3rd to 4th? Also who do you guys think we should pick if we have the #1 Patrick or Liljegren? Patrik is the favorite in most mocks but if your team needs D then Liljegren is the best in the draft. |

A lot of the best d in the league where taken in the second round so I take the forward every day of the week no matter what my direct need is. I personally believe that it's much safer with a forward that you will end up with the better player then defense. It's much easier for forwards to come into the NHL then it is D and for that reason I take Patrick. We can't afford to wait five years which is the most likely case for the defense man to be ready to log big minutes effectively. I'm not saying either are a sure bet but if I where to pick which one had the best shot of reaching their full potential its the forward. Draft D in the second or acquire a late first to land a d prospect you like. Address the immediate need of defense through trades or free agency even if they are one or two year fixes, it still buys time for all the guys we already have to develop and not be rushed or forced to play in over their head every night. |

For the first time in my life, I personally cannot wait for this season to end. Looking at the future I think I'll be saying this same thing again at the same time next year. We're screwed-and not just this year! |
